BOTANICAL GARDENS

Hands of green, cobwebbed fingers
splayed to the sky
Reaching.
Glass is beyond them.
They have your sky-eyes,
Little dragon-heart.
The same disinfectant
Dried over their skin,
Your eyes lashes reaching,
Barken scabs on your knees,
And bruises blooming:
No one can wash those from your skin.
